All our tables come with a 30mm thick solid oak worktop. Each table top is treated with Fiddes Hardwax Oil. As standard we use 3 plentiful coats of Clear Satin finish, unless otherwise requested. It provides a durable, hard-wearing finish, easy to wipe clean and maintain.

Each table base will be finished in our own spray-shop. We use a water-based paint specifically mixed for our spray system. It has a 20% sheen much like a modern eggshell paint, this provides a robust and smooth finish, easily cleaned with a damp cloth. We colour match to any of the leading paint manufacturers, you will be prompted to enter a colour once you add the product to the basket. We also provide a small touch-up paint pot for any slight damages further down the line!

Care & attention

Whilst both Fiddes Hardwax Oil and our paint finish provide a hard-wearing protective surface, it must be remembered that the base surface is solid wood, and therefore prone to dents, scratches and chips. This, however, may simply add to the charm, character and story of your built-to-last table.

Do not allow liquids to stand on your surface for long periods of time. Mop up spills of water and other liquids. Never use bleach or aggressive cleaners on your surface. Clean your table using a slightly damp cloth (not sopping wet!), or a bit of furniture polish always freshens it up.

LEAD TIMES & DELIVERY

We always aim to have our tables made and delivered within 4-6 weeks. This may be extended depending upon your location. If you need a faster delivery please contact us for details. Delivery is carried out by ourselves, within a 20 mile radius of our workshops, or via our courier for nationwide deliveries.
